They also only get Hammer of Wrath if the didn't move 12" in the movement phase. I think 7th changed that; by my understanding, they just have the Hammer of Wrath rule, the disclaimer in the Jump Infantry unit type that said they only get it if they don't use them in the movement phase was removed...I think. No book in front of me, but I think its still HoW only if you move like infantry in the movement. Otherwise Ravenguard chapter tactics is half useless and they were written post 7th edition.

Confirmed, it's one phase or the other. If you choose the movement phase, you get to move 12". If you choose the assault phase, you get HoW AND you get to re-roll your charge 2D6. Weeee

Ok so let's use Praetorians as an example. I can roll up and shoot you, then activate my jump and roll 2D6 and slam into you in assault with the added HoW, correct? If I don't plan to assault the jump packs can just move me a extra 6 in movement.
Now jet packs allow me to fire then move 2D6 AFTER shooting? No assault bonus but more mobility. Plus I can deep strike.
That sound correct?

Jump Pack: move 12", but no assault bonus OR move 6", but get to reroll your assault range (2d6") and get HoW Jet Pack: move 6", shoot, move 2d6" in the assault phase

But I could move 12 and assault normally? Not that I can think of a reason I would.... Yes, you still get to assault as long as you didn't run that turn as with any other model. Just you get to reroll it if you use your jump pack to charge instead of move, that's all. Also, you should 100% be taking your (hopefully) 10 man Praetorian unit with rods of the covenant and charging them in! Move 12", fire your S5 AP2 guns, and charge 2D6" and clean up with AP2 in close combat! They're phenomenal at clearing elite infantry off an objective, and with the 4+ form the decurion they are really tough to kill.

Well right now, per the rules of decurian, it's 2 5man squads, but I'm working on increasing their numbers

Well right now, per the rules of decurian, it's 2 5man squads, but I'm working on increasing their numbers I thought you could increase them to 10 if you wanted, but either way you've got yourself 10 of the dudes, even if its 2 squads of 5. And with the bonus from the triarch stalker in the formation, you're getting some serious rerolls to.

Can a super heavy charge AND fire? Yes, but only walkers and chariots as its their rules that allow a vehicle to charge. Non-walker/chariot vehicles (whether they are super heavy or not) cannot charge at all. Instead super heavy vehicles can perform a thunderblitz, but that is a separate maneuver to represent running something over.

And they can fire at multiple targets and choose to charge whichever they want. As long as they fired at their eventual charge, they're good.

Back to that question about a unit composed of different types, do they really ALL move as slow as the slowest? So if a bike squad has 1 independent character without a bike, they all are limited to 6 inch move?? What good friends, walking their bikes so Jim the librarian who can't afford one can hang out.
