Wow, they're putting this one out pretty quickly. They usually wait for the next codex to be actually out before they announce the next preorder. I haven't seen many Dark Eldar players in 8e. Will be interesting to see more.

I am VERY happy that they this got rolling out so quick. I feel like with Necrons and Tau, there was like 2 weeks of teasers before the release. But now they are just releasing this.
I have no interest in Dark Eldar myself, but yay a Codex for everyone!

Will be interesting to see more. We've got quite a few DE players in this group, I think 4 or 5, but we just never play them due to them being terrible in the index. This codex will probably be really good for them, so you'll definitely be seeing at least mine and probably Mike's on the table more often!

I know your space dark elves are fragile but from every game I watched them in, they tend to laid down a lot of fire power. Still I'm interested in what faction bonuses they will get. I know your big scary looking monsters needs improvements that's for sure. Any predictions what they power level is going to be at? I'm going to take a stab at Elder level.

Whoa, the preview today makes it seem like they're doing some crazy stuff for the Drukhari.
CP bonuses for tons of Patrol Detachments and more granularity between the Kabals, Wych Cults, and Haemonculus Covens. Neat!

CP bonuses for tons of Patrol Detachments and more granularity between the Kabals, Wych Cults, and Haemonculus Covens. Neat! Yup, getting bonus CP for taking patrol detachments to show their fractured faction nature is awesome - and paying 1 CP to get additional warlord traits to show that they don't take orders from each other is huge. Just playing around with current points, and just using that fact alone, here's what I have for 2000 points: Patrol Detachment 1
HQ - archon, huskblade, splinter pistol, Eternal Hatred, phantasm grenades Troops - 5 kabbalites, blaster; 5 kabbalites, blaster Elites - 9 Incubi Venom, Venom, Raider Patrol Detachment 2HQ - archon, blaster Troops - 5 kabbalites, blaster; 5 kabbalites, blaster Elites - 9 Trueborn - 4 blasters, 2 dark lances Venom, Venom, Raider Patrol Detachment 3
HQ - Succubus, archite glaive, parasites kiss, warlord, blood frenzy - Serpentin Troops - 9 wyches, 1 hydra gauntlet, phantasm grenades - Adrenalight Fast - 15 Hellions - Grave Lotus , 4 Reavers (1 blaster, 1 grav talon) - Pain Bringer Raider That gives me 7 Command Points total, and even without knowing the different kabal and wych cult faction traits, the relics or stratagems or other warlord traits it feels like a REALLY solid list given what I just saw across 4 days at adepticon. Lots of anti tank, lots of movement, good screening, and enough combat blobs to hold down a flank if I need to. Not to mention enough vehicles to make 5th edition dark eldar blush. This makes me extremely happy. I'm for sure buying the limited edition codex, can't wait!

You into the rumor that trueborn and bloodbrides are not going to be in the codex? It feels right to me.

www.warhammer-community.com/2018/03/27/codex-drukhari-preview-the-kabalsgw-homepage-post-3/Raiders are goooooood again - lots of stuff to help them deep strike, remove cover saves, and boost your shooting with splinter racks again. And my god, blasters are D6 damage now instead of D3 - and Kabal of the Obsidian Rose (my kabal!!!) is DOPE. Also - scourges got *cheaper*? They were already one of the best units in the DE index, so that is only going to be more of a positive. I for one welcome our emo overlords.

It's going to be interesting to spread out the army across multiple detachments to optimize each slot.
A spearhead with an archon, some incubi, and ravagers could be useful with the +6" Rose obsession. Flayed skull looks generally great though and will probably be my default choice for a battalion.
I'm also really excited for wyches and I hope they're amped up a bit. Would love to run a battalion with 30 wyches and 12 bikes then fill in the rest with kabal support.
