God I hate bols with a passion. Its the breitbart of hobby rumor blogs.
The author even said in the post they reference that "its great that they have multiple names we can use". Multiple, ie not a total replacement of the word Eldar. Might be the name on the codex, but just like stories and fluff still reference Imperial Guard and Space Marines and Sisters rather than Astra Militarum and Adeptus Astartes and Adeptus Sororitas, Eldar and Dark Eldar will still be in use extensively. Aeldari seems like more of a formal name, like how we would call the wood elves, dark elves, and high elves in Warhammer Asrai, Druchii, and Asur.

Hnnnnnnnnnnggg
Theae are beautiful!!! I can't wait to see rules, and get my hands on these bad boys. I love how distinctly different they are - they don't look like craftworld or dark kin, but yet would not look out of place with either army.
Very very excited for this

What's up with the big flying dude? But they all look pretty awesome. That is the Avatar of Ynnead. Like the Avatar of Khaine, he is a "shard" of an Eldar God. Only instead of Khaine, the God of War, Ynnead is the newly formed Eldar God of the Dead (which is why he has that Vampire Counts vibe going on). He is said to be formed by the Souls of all Eldar who have died - including the ones consumed by Slaanesh, but also the souls confined in the infinity circuits, soul stones, and world spirits. Their legend states that Ynnead will destroy Slaanesh and set the Eldar free from her eternal damnation.

Love the armor on the (I'm guessing) Archon. Cloak, too... I've always liked the "I'm awesome enough to wear fur" vibe. Have to say, though, seeing a "dark eldar" mini holding a "craftworld eldar" sword is... incongruous.

Ynnead has finally been born? Like, full blown born? That's going to be interesting. Maybe Cegorach can get a full blown avatar as well. That would be amazing. Looks like I'll have to get the Swordwind back out sometime soon.

Love the armor on the (I'm guessing) Archon. Cloak, too... I've always liked the "I'm awesome enough to wear fur" vibe. Have to say, though, seeing a "dark eldar" mini holding a "craftworld eldar" sword is... incongruous. Its not an Archon, its title is the Visarch, Sword of Ynnead. People are speculating its Yriel - and while the helmet and spikes on the back do look DE, the rest of the armor (and the flickershield on his wrist and the sword) are pretty clearly craftworld. Which makes sense for Ynnead themed characters - ynnead is made up of the souls of ALL eldar, including dark eldar and those eaten by slaanesh. So they *should* look like a mixture of the various eldar cultures, and explains why the face of the avatar is slaaneshi looking.
