I have to say, with all the buffed units, tactics, strategems, etc. I'm struggling to fit in everything to my army. I need another trygon for those charge reroll, i need a tyrannofex for that sweet sweet ranged anti tank alongside my hive guard and exocrine. I need 16 more stealers. I want to run a wall of charging screamer killers. Not enough room in a 2000 pt list!

Tell me about it - I've already got 7000 points of nids and I still want to buy another trygon, another 16 stealers, 9 zoanthropes, 3 more hive guard, another exocrine, another crone, a tyrannofex...its wild!

Yeah they mentioned yesterday in the article that the devourer is 6 shots per, so 4 of them is 24 shots. They specifically mentioned that the difference between the two is one is higher strength/more AP, the other is higher shots, no AP. I know I'll be chopping off the deathspitters from my tyrants and replacing the devourers I had previously cut off....THANKS GWI don't use magnets because I like re-doing work over and over again Yeah, I'll run a touch of math, but I imagine the amount of targets the Deathspitters will be better against is going to be very slim (and for more points?). I bet costs will be adjusted accordingly. Anyway. That relic Deathspitter looks interesting, what with both better range & re-rolls... but unfortunately is only available to one sub-fleet. Womp. Still eager to see how the CC weapon-list pans out.

So i think deathspitters are better against T6 and T7 and slightly better against 2+

Nick, lemme know if theres anything in that 7000 points youre looking to get rid of. I may look to move my half-assembled hive guard since i wanted them for anti tank and tyrannofexss can do that job now. I've also got 2 venomthropes, a zoan and a neuro.

I'm very much in the market for hive guard since GW is out of stock in the US, I'll dig through all my stuff and see if there is anything I plan on just kinda benching. I think I've got an extra tervigon kicking around and all the bits to upgrade him to a tyrannofex, if that's of interest to you.

I think the armor is going to be the big factor - for the T differences, I have to think twice as many hits wounding on only 1 worse is going to win out (12 hits needing 5's is 4, 6 hits needing 4's is only 3).
Actually since I'm thinking of it now, vs a 3+ stock the DS gets 1.5 through, and Devs get 3... so way better there. Vs 2+ DS gets 1, Dev gets .6
So basically seems that DS is niche vs very heavy armor at first glance. Would be happy to be wrong though, I'd love to see this weapon actually get some more general use!
PS - should we do a conglomerate bargain-bin of stuff? I have a few pieces kicking around that at this point aren't full units, or just no longer interest me.

I think the problem with deathspitters will be devs are better vs infantry and heavy venom cannons are better vs armor.

What's the profile for a deathspitter again? Str 5, so -1, and assault 3 right? Do you guys know what the new price is for them? I think they are still worth it. Just depend on pricing now cause dev are 4 points.

Ahhhhhhhh OK that makes sense. Yeah Joel was telling me twin monster devs are going to be 24 shots now which is kinda nice cause that brings back the flyrant. But I see your point now about the Devs probably going to be used the most. The spitters will be nice against better armored units (or most vehicles) but 24 shots is nothing to squeeze at
