So plasma cannons (and vanquisher leman russ tanks) can't reroll the Gets Hot roll anymore, since it doesn't count as a To Hit rule according to these FAQs. Additionally, my DE Raiders can no longer pivot before moving, as pivot counts as part of the move now!

Also, putting a character with a jump pack in a unit of bikes allows them to re-roll charge range, as long as the character uses his jumpack to charge. NICE

Am I reading this correctly under terrain? "The 25% rule applies in all types of terrain if the target is a flyer, super heavy vehicle, FMC or GC" So does this mean that Riptides no longer get to put their toe into ruins and get a cover save?? Or is there a difference between FMC and MCs?

You could already do that lol the only issue is that the D-lord only moves 6", so the canoptek harvest is limited to his movement, vs being able to move the full 12" each turn for being beasts.

I saw someone asked for clarification there, so hopefully as this is just a draft we will see MCs included in the finished version - I too am tired of seeing big mecha units claiming cover saves despite being 99% visibile to my firing unit. Poop. - I just saw that they clarified for Saves that it's up to a player's discretion to decide which of multiple types of save is "best." I am glad they made a ruling on that. - Wow. Grenades in Assault. Only one model gets to replace their CC attack with a grenade attack.

So 3 questions in, and it seems like the big thing is a lot of Wychfires don't need to roll to hit (ie, those without a standard weapon profile).
Suddenly the Maleceptor is so wor.... wait... no, the 'ceptor is still garbage... but that does help a lot of other things! Namely (for Nids) the Neurothrope just got a nice little boost, I believe.

I mean it makes sense - and I get why they did it (to nerf necron ghost arks), same with the "can't deploy in BB transports during deployment" to stop drop pod taxi armies. But man, all the fun/flavor of playing DE just went out the window....other than having shadowfield FnP back!
Looks like I'll just have to keep playing eldar jetbikes as allies instead

That is unfortunate for DE, but at least Raiders can still pack splinter racks, which even with snap shots are putting out... eh... probably not enough to compete with Venoms anymore XD
But I agree, it does make sense fluff-wise. It's probably just "old codex" talking, but when we only have a few tricks up our sleeves left, and we start to lose them, it's a bit disheartening. Haven't read through the whole thing yet, but FnP saves the Shadowfield again? At least that's good in terms of justifying the points hike! It's a pretty nasty combo with guaranteed FnP by T3, and a handful of ways to get it T2 (even T1 if you're specific).
Really all I want is to not feel like I should either proxy my DE as CW:E, or just not bother (sad panda). Or Corsairs. Heh. But hey, Neurothropes are a big buff to Zoan's now! Yay?
*Edit*
Oh snap, while zooming flyers/FMC's can't be hit by errant blast markers anymore, a blast weapon with Skyfire *can* target them... yay for being able to shoot a Razorwing's missiles at enemy fliers now.
