Had the day off yesterday, so I finally got around to putting the ventilation system and compressor in for paint....which was theoretically my last excuse not to be painting (besides a complete lack of knowledge, experience, and innate talent). As a result I am combining my hobby progress into one thread that should, in theory, also include painting

Nurgle Leviathan Dreadnaught...still assembling/Magnetizing his other limbs. I go back and forth whether I should nurlge him up a bit more or not. I am going with a heavy 30k Deathguard theme, and I don't want to ruin that on a pre-heresy unit. Conversely, Nurgle is awesome.

These are all amazing, and I love the work on the leviathan - I wouldn't change a single thing, those horns and the nurgling and banner between his legs sell the corrupted theme perfectly without being over the top.

These conversions all look fantastic. What are the Armiger's shoulder pads from?

I want to say a bloat drone?
Full disclosure sometimes I drink and kit bash so I occasionally wake up to mysteries and looted models. Honestly I can't think what else they would have come from though, that kit is a gold mine of spare parts.

It all looks fantastic! Very nurlgey, but not overboard like I've seen some Nurgle kitbashes do.
I've always kind of wanted to build some Death Guard and this isn't helping.

It's fun, you get the very clean lines of the space marines but the satisfaction of making/owning completely unique models. I can say with confidence that excepting 3 models (of which I have two apiece) that literally none of my plague Marines is a repeat design. That's over 40 marines I was able to make between a few boxes of the originals and a few sets from Dark Imperium. I'm not saying a few aren't similar, but they are all different.
Really the only repeating model is the blight haulers, as there isn't a ton you can do with them and only one body type....though for some reason I have repeatedly considered giving them sombreros

Confirmed that the ventilation system works, and re-introduced myself to the basics of how an air brush works. After several mis-steps and a harsh lesson learned about how paint brush cleaner can numb your tongue (do not ask) I have begun to base coat things. (This was initially a chariot style biker boss conversion, but now it looks like a trike boss is more likely...if the size matches up reasonably well) The general plan is for vehicles to be black, Ork Infantry to be Green, and pretty much everything DG to be grey. Since I have limited experience in this, I am open to counter suggestions for primer colors.
