Prepared Positions is interesting and awesome! I will almost always spend those 2CP to get cover on my bugs. +1 cover and -1 to hit from my Malanthrope is not terrible!
EDIT: Knight stratagems got hard nerfed. CP Regen got gutted. Agents of Vect is now 4 CP and cannot bbe used during deployment or before the game begins. I am okay with all of this.

A big huzzah overall. And I think you are mixing kill team rules with 40k? The cover means you get +1 save right? I think I'm willing to let GSC first turn strike until they get their codex. Seems like a nerf they didnt need in the meantime.

I will also say reading the SW FAQ, it does seem like I would still have to take morale tests for guys I use the lone wolf stratagem on. I could just wait till the end of the psychic phase to use it also to avoid having a lone wolf run.

Although I'm mad GW still refuses to fix soups for some unfathomable reason, the CP battery relics/abilities now only ever refunding 1 cp a battle round does go a long way to help with the infinite CP armies that have been cropping up.
The tactical reserves rule is interesting, means I can make my orks getting in turn one count a lot more if they can do it. Sad to hear about GSCs, but I'm sure their codex will negate this rule in some fashion.
Also, Don't forget to check your Individual army's faq pages as well as the main rulebook, a lot of them have been updated. (Fortifications can capture objectives now!?)

Good point zyggy Nothing changed too much for my armies. I can't use Pathogenic Slime (increase monster weapon damage by 1) at any point. Have to declare at the start of the shooting phase. That is about it.

Yeah I'm excited about the changes, it makes CP regen a lot less viable but still maintains the ability to combine detachments from various lists if you want (making my knights happy, my imperial guard battalion isn't just scrapped now).

Reserves only coming in turn 2? Woah, who ever could have imagined that was a good idea? Next thing you know, they'll make you roll for reserves or have teleporting troops use some sort of arrowed die to determine where they land, crazy as those ideas may sound.

I am fine with t2 reserves but i dont like the deployment requirements (1/2 points value on the field). They should make you live with the repercussions of deep striking your whole army.

Would have liked to see some points adjustments (read, lots of TMC's are overcosted)... but a lot of these changes I love.
As noted, gutting CP farming in all its forms is great, I'm ambivalent about the DS since I haven't used it for much other than Rippers and maybe the odd Flyrant DS (if only the Trygon had a min-3 dmg, or S8.. woof).
Liking the strat CP cost adjustments too, and the going-second strat is LOVELY. Finally some recognition of the power of T1. I'd even go so far as to say that should be cheaper off the bat. Great start, tho.
