Yeah I didn't realize that's what Deathwatch could do, but even so - for Chaos, this is a huge boon. They don't have anything like that as far as I'm aware, that can bring that many special weapons to bare. Imperials need help like they need a hole in the head, but CSM gets a boost for sure. Well CSM Chosen are actually like that already. Four of them can bring special weapons (either melee or range), but only 1 heavy weapon. Even the dataslate formation cypher originally came in is almost the exact same as the one in the new book...the only difference (which is huge in my opinion) is being able to take Dedicated Vehicles for the Fallen. That means Flamers and Meta's will be terrifying (assuming enemy's vehicles are close enough) because the Dedicated Vehicles will also gain infiltrate, which makes them pseudo battle sisters (ha take that jesse!) Heck the Crimson slaughter chosen can gain preferred enemies for an additional 10 points (problem be though is you'll be exactly 12" away assuming you deploy them correctly because no infiltrating vehicles). Still a boon to CSM, but not by a whole lot. The ONLY thing that can make a different is, what does the Fallen bring in terms of equipment. There statline seems similar to the Chosen squad, but Fallen are 100 points. I'm wondering what other rules they added with them. I'm figuring the Overwatch and stubborn ability DA's tend to have, but it might be different. I'm excited!

Definitely not stubborn cause they get that in their formation Good Point, I forgot they get both ATSKNF and Stubborn so long they stay within 12" of him. So yeah, new abilities. Now I'm super excited!!! Can't wait to grab that book now.

But can you take chosen in units of 5 too? I thought it was 10, but 4 could take special weapons. Whereas with fallen you can take 5, all with special weapons.

Its a min size squad of 5, 4 can take special weapons. There was some rule debate about whether the sergeant could also take a special weapon or not, don't recall if GW ever clarified one way or the other. All in all, I think Chosen are a much better pick over Fallen for CSM if only because the Chosen can take a Legion alliance and gain all the good rules from that. Relentless T5 Chosen with Feel No Pain and Fearless, yes please.

Relentless T5 Chosen with Feel No Pain and Fearless, yes please. Agreeing with Will. It's debatable for now about the sergeant, I usually just play him as not able to, aside from combi options. Having the traitor legions is another factor I didn't consider, which makes Fallen much less favored to pick. I think Chosen also have 3 attacks (2 base and 1 from CCW and pistol). I'm not a hundred percent about the veterans and sternguard (which I don't think they do). Otherwise Heck you don't even need Cypher with the Alpha legion ability either cause chosen automatically get Infiltrate (with dedicated vehicles getting this ability as well) and are a troop choice to make them better. Again lets see what Fallen get, I'm just hoping they bring another tool to the game... or can take Terminator Armor with 2 WOUNDS!!! (I can only dream)

You're stealing all of our stuff but doing it better! Space Marines with lots of special weapons! Our Eternal Warrior relic, but now with It Will Not Die!

Well... Fallen are just chosen, but 10 points more expensive... Without any chapter tactics...

Oh, well, I guess in that case, at least we still have scout and that prayer... that's what you get for being heretics!
