I'm slowly working on building up a Dark Angels 30k force. So long as I don't get distracted by Bretonnians, Iron Crowns, more Sisters, Specialist Games, or other flights of fancy, I hope to have about 1.2k done by February. I almost certainly won't meet that goal. Eventually I'm hoping to build up a decent sized Ironwing army, but Forgeworld is expensive, so we'll see about that. These are some of my first Tac Marines from the BoP box, missing shoulder pads, backpacks, and accessories.   |

Glad to see the First showing up! I always had a soft spot for them as they were my first 40k army years ago. I like the champion, solid conversion there.

Recently finished up a squad of heavy bolters (without shoulder pads and backpacks) and 3/4 of my Cataphractii command squad.   |

Finished my Veteran squad recently (except for backpacks and their left shoulder pads), as well as Melanchthon, Legion Champion of the Dark Angels. At this point, I'm pretty much finished with all the 30k Marines I have. Forgeworld is next, for Dangels shoulder pads and some tanks.   |

I'm basically finished with my Dangels infantry. Today I finished up the Cataphractii Command Squad (except for the banner) and Legion Praetor Bucer. I also have right shoulder pads and backpacks on all the rest of my squads now. Just need to paint up accessories (chainswords and holstered pistols) and make a standard for the command squad. And basing. I can't wait for them to tear into some Thousands Sons. Show those psychers what's what.   |

I'll have to learn how to green stuff some short-shorts on characters.
I have 1,250 points so far for the Dangels. I'm aiming for a 2,500 point Ironwing force (I'll post lists up where all the lists go), at which point I'll probably be compelled to buy more and continue on to absurdity building a few more wings. Soon I'll also have 1,000 points of Talons of the Emperor assembled. My main problem right now is that I have no armour whatsoever, so I'm not sure if I can manage a full-blown game yet. I might break down and buy some Forgeworld soon (tanks, lots of tanks), but I also sort of want to wait for the Sisters' transports to come out... so I'm not sure.

The FW tanks are freaking awesome. I've got a sicaran and a spartan, as well as as deredeo and a leviathan dreanought. All are beautiful models, though my leviathan and the weapon on my sicaran had some slight mold slip, other than that they were a dream to put together as well. Resin can be weird, but patience and greenstuff and some tough files and some hot water or a heat gun will do the trick!
I'd be down to also just play some "no tank" games, infantry on infantry, like the Emperor intended.

We'll have to do that. I feel like it's a little unfair given the damage that molecular acid heavy bolters can do to squads, but that's why the Emperor made Zone Mortalis.

Just put together my first Forgeworld tank. It was not fun having to heat up water to bend giant panels into shape. Not fun at all.  And who is that in the background? |
