I was just going to ask people if they wanted to sell their Custodes and Sisters models, but with all of those marines being Mk III, it's just too tempting to pass up this box. If anyone, though, doesn't want their Custodes or Sisters, I'd love to take them off their hands (by offering terminators, characters, or this weird green paper that keeps disappearing as my house fills up with plastic army men).

I'm debating about getting. I still got a lot of plastic to assemble. Ill let you know though if I have in. The video was awesome though

If anybody wants to toss like 10 mk3 marines my way, I'll pay cash or trade some mk4s. Or if you want to swap tartaros termies for some cataphractii. Gotta get those emperors children started.

Do I need more marines? Nah. Do I want them? Fuckin a You need more Centurion Broadsides. The Custodes would make great Riptides (so you can field 5 now like you always wanted)

I'm curious to see how the Sisters of Silence anti-psyker ability manifests on the tabletop. Hopefully they get something a little stronger then adamantium will and closer to the Culexus Assassin's ability. It'd be nice to have a really strong counter to psychic death stars.

I agree with that. I JUST finished "A Thousand Sons" and the Sisters are described as blackholes of psychic nothingness. So, hopefully they're along the lines of watered down Culexus' as you say. I mean, they're Blanks, after all. Also, I'm excited to see what their rules look like for 40k as well. (Same goes for the Custodes).

Not sure if you all saw the rules leaks on 4chan - and take them with a bit of salt, since we have no proof yet - but the siters of silence are going to be GOOD. As are the custodes, if they are real:
Custodes - WS5, BS4, S5 T5 W2 I5 A3 LD10 2+/5++ 55 points each. Get WS6 if fighting someone who has WS5 or less, and can exchange their spears for sword/shield. If you exchange for the shield, you get a 4++. Hatred, Furious Charge, Rampage. Both the spear and sword have a built in bolter that is Assault 2, 18" range. Spear appears to be S+1/AP2 on the charge, S-user AP3 after that.
Sisters - WS5, BS4, S3, T3, W1 I5 A2 LD10 2+. Preferred enemy (psykers), hatred (psykers), furious charge. Their swords are Pariah Blades, are AP3 and gain Instant Death vs psykers. Pariah special rule gives them complete immunity to psychic powers - they can never be targeted. Also prevents any psychic powers from being cast within 6" of a model from this unit - and any powers in play cease as soon as they get within 6".
So the custodes are basically terminators with +1 S/T/WS/W/A for 15 points. But also get the cool special rules. YOWZA
And sisters will just murder psychic armies. Bye daemons, bye eldar, bye grey knights. Holy shit man.

Wow. That is awesome. If it pans out as the leaks say... those would be very very cool.
And I'm also interested to see how they're implemented into 40k. Just Dataslate? Or some kind of codex is forthcoming? If so, would the two be included together, or do we have new factions on the way? (I would assume just dataslates, unless we're getting an entire army of Custodes. And of course Sisters hopefully equals the long rumored and asked for update.)

They should do something like legion of the damned, where you can take them as their own formation detachment. Unless there's a codex incoming; although I think there's already enough factions.

I doubt that we're getting a Custodes Codex or a Sisters of Silence Codex - more likely, they both will have a dataslate that can be taken in an Inquisition Detachment or something similar. Considering how rare it is to see them in battle, and their connection with Terra itself vs being called upon by just any old army of the imperium, this is my best guess. There are a ton of factions now, and I don't know if fleshing out an additional 2 is really likely.
Also of note, Sisters of Silence are not related to the Sisters of Battle. So this does not necessarily represent an update for sisters, model wise or codex wise. The Sisters of Silence are an all female order, true, but have been around for millenia before the Sisters of Battle were formed by the Inquisition, and are a separate order entirely. They were also all but lost/banished/killed off (there is only 1 contingent of them left in the universe, according to lore) around M32 after the heresy.

Those rules seem pretty exciting. I've been fixating on 30k so much that I forgot about the opportunity to use the Sisters of Silence in 40k. They will really help out with psychers, especially since my non-silent sisters lack much in the way of psychic protection.
And because I have a desperate need to be a pedantic dick, the Sisters of Battle weren't formed by the Inquisition, but were an independent monastic order/cult of the Emperor before becoming Goge Vandire's private army/bodyguards in the Age of Apostasy, and then the militant arm of the Ecclesiarchy, which remains their primary function. They are only secondarily the militant arm of the Ordo Heretics.
