This is the latest iteration of my Revilers Talon Strike Force. I've added in a Comms relay to help with Reserves on turn 1 and a librarian to provide prescience to my devastators. The fact that they ignore cover when they fire makes the Devs a very big target, and even with a 2+ cover save I normally lose 1-2 Lascannons on turn 1. To mitigate that somewhat I've added 5 boltgun marines to the devastators to better protect my lascannons. I've also noticed that I rarely move very far from the table edge when I outflank, as the enemy has often moved to engage. As a result I've never gotten much mileage out of my rhinos, so I dropped them to save some points. The last major change is that I've switched from a Power Fist & Storm Shield on my captain to the relic lightning claws from Kauyon. I typically run the captain with the assault marines who are only Str 4, which makes the PF kind of an awkward weapon. Charging Elites, MCs, or Vehicles typically doesn't go well because the fist only gets four attacks at I1, while charging infantry means I'm wasting the PF's AP and Str. As a result I've opted to focus on dealing with Infantry as I have better shooting options to eliminate vehicles and MCS. The lightning claws have a special rule that gives the wielder an extra attack for every successful to hit, meaning that the captain alone will outright kill 5-6 MEQs on average. I'd really appreciate feedback specifically from the people I've played but comments from anybody familiar with Space Marines will be helpful.
