Dude nice! I can't possibly comment on your number of armies, thanks to the 5 that I currently have on my painting bench.
A word to the wise on the NNM - it can seem really daunting at first, but you're already on the right track! The biggest kicker towards making it look like real metal is the final highlight and lowlight. What you're going to want to do is take a pure white and highlight the highest point of the metal (with the thinnest line possible) - it'll make it look instantly like metal from a distance, which is where your enemies will be viewing it.
If it looks too bright, just water down some black wash and go over the top to bring it closer together.
These guys are looking good man, keep it up!

This is what I'm working towards for the Grail Knights. I wanted the heraldry and barding to be simple with no discerning patterns. But I still wanted them to look out of the ordinary, so I figured what's more obnoxious and impractical than gold armor? Originally I wanted to paint them up like ethereals, and while it was effective with the test models I did I don't think it'll work in the overall scheme of the army. Apart from the hooves, this model is complete. I do think the barding needs something more. Ideas?

That looks great dude! The gold nnm is on point, it might just be the pictures but is there an extreme highlight of bleached bone/white on the metallic parts? If not, I suggest it - it'll really make it pop.

Maybe a grail on each panel, it would break up the white a bit. Ring each panel with yellow?

Thanks for the ideas guys. I'm gonna try some patterns on the barding itself using a blue micron pen and then freehanding a sweet grail (Jesus was a carpenter, remember to choose wisely).

Use pencil first! Then get in there with your blue micropenis. Then see a doctor.
