Greetings flubs,
So I have some news for ya'll that is exciting and sad on many different levels. I have accepted a position at Asmodee North America (formerly Fantasy Flight Games) as their Content Marketing Manager, a job that will require me to move to thrilling Roseville, MN. Now, you might hear rumors that I took this job because I can't beat Russell in Conquest, CJ broke my heart for the last time, or it's all a big Punk'ding, but I assure you, this is legit.
So, super fucking cool that I get to be no small part in designing marketing for all FFG, Asmodee, Days of Wonder, and now Catan products, but super sad I have to leave you guys. Someone's going to have to step up and grab the whole Wanderer's role I've been filling, but I have little doubt one of you schmos will be up to the task.
Also, I'll be back pretty frequently; my partner isn't going anywhere as her job is pretty great, we just bought a house, and I love my dogs more than anything. So I'll be around. Also, you guys can come and visit me whenever you want. The FFG Game Center is a fucking great place to hang out and play games, and maybe I can swing a tour of the facilities and you can sign an NDA and learn a bunch of secrets you can't tell anyone. Also, Asmodee is going to continue hiring steadily this year, so keep an eye out for anything you might be suited for. If you don't mind moving to the Twin Cities, you got a solid reference coming from in-house.
So yeah. My loose start date is the 25th, but there are factors pushing for Feb 1st, but I don't know if that will shake out. Let's push some plastic before I go/cry. Also, I won't be using these forums anymore because Russell won't allow any MN residents on here. New Zealand and fucking Havasu are alright, but no one from MN. Days are numbered.
