This thread will slowly document my new Brettonian army as it takes shape. I hope this thread will promote ideas, banter and the inevitable dick jokes. Huzzar!

Unlike Kyle or the Handsome CJ, I am not a tactically minded gamer when it comes to the world of WFB. My current Dark Elf army would probably run best with an Alter of Blood and a lot of Witch Elves. However when I consider the $$ of Witch Elves, for the same price I could have a second army! I decided upon this army book because they are tactically simple (line them up and charge!).
Pros to this decision: 1) It allows me to theme them to a Edward III or Henry V scheme. Although this has been done alot in the UK, I have wanted to do this for sometime, 2) Tactically easier to play, 3) Low model count, of which each one can be individualized, unlike 100 space marines in identical blue power armour! 4) Will allow me to work on my free hand for the heraldry. Something that needs improvement! Haha!
Cons to this decision: 1) Apparently Brets are OOP from GW, so I assume that they are about to come out with a new book. So I'll be constructing it out of ebay'd knights of the realm which are still obtainable, while my lord, BSB and prophetess will have to be customized. This is a mixed blessing as it will be cheaper, but will need some work on the customization. So advice from fellow hobbiests will be appreciated! 2) Edward III/Henry V themes are not uncommon in the UK. But I'm not playing there, 3) Lore of metal will kill me, arrrrggghhh!
I will be uploading photos of posts over the year.

Oh man, I'm super excited to see this. Bretonnia is such a 'hobby' army as it allows one to do some awesome themes like this. When Bretonnia gets a new book, I'd love to do a Song of Ice and Fire themed Bretonnian force.

Forgive me for not being British, but what would a King Henry V or Edward III knight look like? Would I recognize one if I drove past him/her on I-90/94?

Gonna go all knights? Or throw in bowmen and infantry? A Henry the 5th (an Agincourt army?) would need a good group of bowmen and billmen right?
You could model an Edward the 3rd army with the knights slaying skaven... (The plague was furring his regime right?) boo ya makin those 3 years in England work!

Kyle, I am highly impressed! You're knowledge of english medieval history by far outstrips the average american.
Dan, if you were to see one riding down the I90, then I wonder what you were smoking last night ;-)
Sadly shooting in WFB is rubbish, otherwise in would have gone with 2 hordes of longbowmen.
So its going to be all knights. 2 unitsn will be unimaginative. The Grail Knights will be the Knight Hospitlar (wore the st goerges cross), because Ed III made geoorge the patron st of england. The Questing knights will be made as the kings house hold cavalry (ie they'll all wear the royal colours). The regular knights are what lm really looking forward to! My plan is to research up to 22 english coat of arms amd use these. I plan for the house of york to be the standard for one unit and the house of Lancaster to be the standard for the other.
