This thread will slowly document my new revamped Eldar army as it takes shape. I hope this thread will promote ideas, banter and inevitable dick jokes. Huzzar!

After Collecting approximately 15,000 points of Ultramarines, I came to the (unsurprising) conclusion that after 15 years (on and off) I a bored of Ultramarines.
Instead of starting a Brand new army, I decided to revamp my Eldar Army.
Pros to this decision: 1) I already have some Eldar, 2) The new Eldar codex is tres sexy, 3) new rules make bike that bit more awesome, 4) Crimson Hunter is a sexy looking flyer even if it has weak armour, 5) Wraithknight is a sexy looking model that I can't wait to build and play! 6) They are not in blue power armour!!!!
Cons to this decision: 1) Two other players in the group run Eldar (Dan and Russel), however Russ, does have a "Ghost army" which in itself is unique, 2) It won't be a true Siam Hann army per say, I will still run guardian squads, as I've only enough $$ for a squad of bikes, 2 Crimson Hunters and a Wraithknght, which in itself should be enough, right ;-)
I will be uploading photos of posts over the year as this unfolds.

Cons to this decision: 1) Two other players in the group run Eldar (Dan and Russel), etc etc... I don't think you should list this as a reason to not play Eldar. You play Ultramarines so you're not going to convince that us you're not unoriginal. But seriously, play what you want to play. Mirror matches are the best.

Russ, question about the Wraithknight. It is possible to make the model in a kneeling position? I have a great idea!

So Wraithknight thoughts.... I originally thought of a kneeling pose, with his suncannon shooting to the left, over the scatter shield. But I had a change of mind. Like the Revenant, the Knight should be spritly and agile. So I decided I'll build him jumping in the air! Perhaps one toe close to the ground, the other leg bent, knee into the chest. I'll probably try and use something like a coat hanger wire to suspend him up (it's strong enough), and probably some rocks (like real rocks) on the base to help stabilize it. This will also aloe me to go crazy on the base!!!! First though was a sand bag wall with dead guard... Then a thought of guard and cultists.... I"m still thinking about this one, but I am very sold on the Knight jumping through the air idea!

For the knights, the knee joints are slotted. They could easily be trimmed off and repositioned.

For the base, just use an entire intact diarama of a stompa battling a forgeworld greater daemon. You know, something muted and cheap.

Hey, are those my Dire Avengers surrounding the Sgt. in your profile pic?! When did that happen...
Also, I never use flyers or more than 3 jetbikes in my Eldar lists. So you'll likely have a completely different army than either me or Russell.
Can confirm, mirror matches are super fun.

Nick, that sounds like a GREAT diorama! I think it'll just have to be done! Seeing a wraitknight jump over that apocolyptic duel would be tres tres sexy!
Dan, yea that is your dire avenger! It was when we had that huge 8000pts game! :-) You make a good point. Me and thee will be running different eldsr armies. It reminds me that there are 3 dark elf players (handsome cj, jeff and I) yet we all run very different armies. So I think it will be a good thing :-)

That's looking stellar! Makes me wish I had been more dynamic with my wraithknight...maybe my SECOND wraithknight will be more animated. Or my revenant.
