When I first got my hands on the Daemonkin I toyed with several lists, but after a few months and a handful of games I've distilled it into something I think can hold its own on a competitive tabletop. I don't think it'll bring home any trophies but I love all the models in it and am really happy with the list. Speed is the name of the game with my army, I run everything at my opponent with the goal to overwhelm them in melee.
++ Blood Host Detachment ++
*The blood host generates a free Blood Tithe point at the beginning of each Daemonkin turn, allowing me to get those rewards quicker*
+ Slaughtercult Formation+
*The slaughtercult allows me to use two Blood Tithe blessings per turn, I.E. allowing me to give the entire army Feel no Pain and the units in the cult Rage & Furious charge for only 3 tithe.
Blood Throne [Exalted Locus of Wrath]
*Blood Throne is a 12/12/10 chariot with a Herald of Khorne on board. Its Locus of Wrath gives every unit within 6" hatred, making it a solid force multiplier.*

*The bloodletters deepstrike in to claim objectives and put charge pressure on my opponent*

*The chaos spawn is a cheap blood tithe point, and can grab objectives with its 12" movement if it goes unharmed. Using the right combination of Blood Tithes the spawn can also dish out 8 str 6 ap - melee attacks, which I use to wreck vehicles in a pinch.
Possessed [Possessed Champion, 4x Possessed]
*The possessed stay in the backfield to protect against deepstrikes and secure objectives.

Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage [Warlord]
*The D-Thirster swings for 8 Str D attacks in melee. He's big, he's tough, and he's intimidating. His primary role is to serve as a "must kill" target and soak up some fire for the rest of my force.*
+ Gorepack Formation +
*All units in the gorepack have hammer of wrath, move through cover, and preferred enemy (psyker). That means the hounds gain HoW, and the bikes automatically pass dangerous terrain tests, while being marginally better vs. psykers*

*With scout I can end turn 1 in my opponents deployment zone. Hounds are mounted on a 50mm base, and twenty of them can pretty effectively limit/prevent the forward movement of any unit without the skimmer or jump type. At two wounds a piece, T4, and a 5++ the hounds are extremely durable vs. anything but anti-tank weapons. If they die I get a Blood Tithe, and if they survive they charge for 3 str 5 attacks each.

*Soul Grinders are a great swiss army knife unit. A durable 13/13/11 walker with an AA autocannon, a battlecannon, and a dreadnought CCW makes them effective vs. a number of targets*

After four games with the Blood Throne I've noticed he's really hit or miss. The armor 12 chassis isn't all that durable, and being a vehicle he's prone to exploding. The hatred bubble is great, but in two games he didn't even factor in at all. As such I'm going to try a couple games with the following chaos lord as a replacement:
Chaos Lord [Aura of Dark Glory, Chaos Bike, Goredrinker, Lightning Claw, Power Armour]
*The lord and the blood throne cost the same points value, but the lord packs a serious punch comparatively. With the goredrinker he gets more strength for each model he kills, resulting eventually in a Str 10, Instant Death lightning claw.
