There has been no shortage of mathematicians crunching numbers for Age of Sigmar to try to create some semblence of balance amongst the war scrolls that were revealed last weekend. One of the best ones, which takes into account a model's full stat line rather than focusing heavily on bravery, wounds, etc, is this one here
Most of the armies are already in that document, and it also includes some re-writing of rules to limit summoning (or remove it, instead replacing it with a healing ability in cases like Lizardmen) and to create a type of Force Org chart using a % system as we used to see in fantasy. They also assume that shooting into/out of combat is a no-no, unlike in the RAW. It seems really well done in reading through not only the points but also the reports from people who have been playing games using it. I'm waiting for them to finish the Warriors of Chaos points so I can see what my typical army would come to; this is something I think we should text out extensively.

This points system favors a simpler approach, but also attempts to curb the power of summoning.
