Okay, some things I gleaned that I can't link...
So Grim Resolve is pretty cool right? My demi-company takes it up a notch and Overwatches at full BS.
The 3 Sacred Banners appear to have been merged into one banner that grants Relentless and Counter Attack plus the usual leadership stuff.
The vehicle formation gets a techmarine that can bump it's vehicle up to BS5.
The plasma battery, if it rolls doubles for scatter or some nonsense turns into a vortex grenade.
Man, I wish they didn't edit all the posts. So much information lost!

Yeah, a flying Landraider that can also buzz over units and make attacks? Crazy. Though you dramatically increase the chances of exposing that rear armor though.
Oh, and the one Ravenwing Formation allows them to Turboboost/Move Flat Out, Jink automatically, and fire at full BS afterward instead of as Snapshots.
Also, Interromancy combined with a lot of their other stuff creates a lot of buff/debuff shenanigans like the Skitarii.

Also, my bad. It's not the plasma battery that can cause vortex, it's the Rift Cannon on the Dark Talon fighter.

You guys...Ravenwing just got so, SO good! Even better than White Scars were last codex! Simply amazing, very cool.
Also the Nephelim and the Dark Talon just got great - actually usable air superiority? I know more than a few DA players that are going to be pumped about that!

The Codex is interesting. I like how they kept the structure of the Ravenwing Attack Squadron by making it a Formation (or is it a Detachment? I don't know). I always liked how it built out to a 10 man squad even though it was weird and expensive.
The "errors" people are complaining about preventing a pure Deathwing force are slightly annoying and the confusion regarding whether bike riding IC's get Ravenwing is too.
The weirdest negative change has to be that Veterans, which never get used, inexplicably got nerfed. They are the same points yet have less options. I'm guessing they were worried they'd load up on combi-plasma and bubble wrap key units while just waiting to get that sick Overwatch fire. That's the only reason I can think of to reduce their options, and it's a weak one considering how expensive they are point wise.
All of the buffs to the new kits from last year are great though. I have a Dark Shroud in the box and it might be a way I can protect my Assault Marines as they advance since they always die a gruesome death before doing a god damned thing. Haha.
I have the very first "tin" vortex grenade template in my display case. It's never been used. But the allure of accidentally ripping open a rift and unleashing vortex sounds like my kind of fun. We'll see. I haven't played a game in a full year now but this seems like a good reason to reboot.
