Anyone planning on doing Blood in the Sun this year? I know a bunch of us signed up last year then decided not to go because we're pussies, but I would like to go this year if we can get a handful of people to make the trip together for a weekend of Warhammer Fantasy Fun Times.
I want to paint up my lizardmen finally and go, anyone else want to get tickets?

But seriously, there is still open slots at BITS this year. Its from June 26-28, in Northbrook. Rules:
2400 points of Fantasy End Times lists allowed, but docked 5 points automatically per round. No End Times Magic - ie, you don't know all the spells in each lore you have access to. Normal rulebook magic rules apply. Special characters up to 500 points allowed.
Must be 3 color painted, and wysiwyg (duh).
Using 8th edition rules and FAQs, even if 9th is dropped before then (woohoo!). No army books released after May 28th are applicable.
Sounds like a great last hoorah for 8th edition, lets get a crew together! I know Kyle is down; CJ, Russell, Jeff, Daniel, Chris - want to get your Fantasy on for a weekend?

I have been known too... I guess I would need a crash course in End Times.

The only thing from End Times that made it into the rules for the tournament are the fact that you can A) use the Lore of Undeath, letting you summon undead units (easy peasy to wrap your head around), and B) the actual lists from End Times - ie, I can take a Chaos Horde with beastmen, daemons, and WoC all wrapped into a single army list. Same for elves, same for undead.
More likely you'll see standard armies from single army books.

Ok so I read the 1d4 on end times. What the fuck? Are there even rules anymore?

I mean...if you actually follow End Times "rules", then no...no there aren't...everyone gets all the magic, you ignore Lord/Heroes, Core, Special, Rare %'s, and you just kinda...mash your dicks together for fun while rolling dice.
But! Without End Times rules in place, its just the regular 8th edition ruleset but with Undead Lore and the possibility of seeing some mixed armies (high/dark elfs is great, Chaos + beastmen rules, Undead combined arms is pretty solid).
