Aaaaaand this entire post just got deleted as I was about to put it up. Awesome.
Anyway, I've been toying around with the idea of taking both Eldar books and just... smooshing them into one big 'Corsairs' force... so I figured I'd throw together an initial list idea and see where it took me. As it turns out, it was pretty easy to keep things battle-forged. The only real concession I made in that regard was with the troops, as I was initially planning to throw CWE bodies into DE boats... but I'm really not unhappy with the idea of Kabalites as the bread and butter. So this is what I ended up with, all said and done...
Dark Eldar Primary, Craftworld Eldar Allies
Haemonculus - Webway Portal, Scissorhand
Autarch - Shard of Anaris, Warp Jump Generator, Mandiblaster
3x Grotesque - Abberation
5x Incubi - Klaivex, Venom + Splinter Cannon
7x Mandrake - Night Fiend
5x Fire Dragon
10x Warriors - Splinter Cannon, Raider with Splinter Racks, Night Shields
10x Warriors - Splinter Cannon, Raider with Splinter Racks, Night Shields
6x Windrider Jetbikes - 2x Shurican Cannon
6x Reaver Jetbikes - 2x Cluster Caltrops, 2x Heat Lance
5x Scourge - 4x Haywire Blaster
Venom - +Splinter Cannon (for the Dragons)
8x Warp Spider
Ravager - Night Shield
Fire Prism - Holofields, Ghost Walk Matrix
So the gist of the (probably bad) idea is that the Haemy and Grots, Warriors, and Ravager Deep Strike in (aided by the Autarch... except... actually maybe not? If his reserves boost is CWE-only I'll swap for a Farseer). Dissies are deceptively good at dealing with (rear) AV10, and then you have the general super-scoring dropping on objectives, mass poison, Grots being generally pretty solid against 85% of targets, etc etc.
The Prism gets to skulk in good cover with holo's, and along with the Dragons and Scourges makes up the primary (from T1) ranged anti-tank. Reavers can work their way around the sides of the board for (probably) a T2 mass S6 HoW, Windriders could skirt around to make use of the Cannons, and Spiders are effectively S7 vs Vehicles. And then of course the reserved forces should be hitting between turn 3/4 (or maybe even 2) depending on their flavor.
Incubi are there because I like them, and it gives me an easy-to-hide, speedy AP2 combat threat to compliment the Grot's mass damage output/high-T-ignoring threat.
It's also a Highlander list, by accident, because I just like taking all of the shiny toys. I'm a sucker for variety.
So I doubt it's super-hardcore looking or anything, but I think it'd be fun (hurr hurr, I'm so original, using battle bro's as allies), and it's a moderately fluffy concept while still not being a *completely* soft build.
It also makes me want to run the math on Ravagers vs Prisms. Prisms just look SO EFFING GOOD. Plus they can blast pretty much any type of target. Gah I love it, and I want 7 of them.
