Sort of.
Aww c'mooooooon, well all know that gee-dubs will never stop throwing its "I'm a five-year-old" tantrum... and that Imperials get (most of) the love.... but that doesn't mean we can't bastardize their lovechild.
So check out this little fluff blurb I wrote up....
A genetic experiment, released only in the most dire cases to a specific stress response to high levels of enemy Psykers (because, you know, the Shadow really doesn't matter these days... *cough*...) -
The Not-Doom is a living conduit of the Tyranid Shadow in the Warp, seemingly designed specifically to interfere with warp energy usage. Knowledge of this strain of Tyranid is haphazard at best, as it is rarely unleashed by the Hive, and survivors of such encounters are rare (and fewer still retain the mental capacity to detail the encounter). Still, what little has been gleaned has been meticulously recorded and cataloged, giving at least some small insight into this most vile of xenos creatures.
Despite the Tyranid norm, where the mere presence of the Leader-Beasts and their direct link to the will of the Hive Mind overwhelms psykic action, the Not-Doom is unique in that despite not having direct control around the creatures around it, it not only nullifies, but seems to somehow feed on the mental energies of psykers. While it is thought that these energies must be used for many basic functions, it is well documented in its use of enhancing its already deadly energy attack.
Most unusually, it has been seen that the presence of this creature can actively disrupt other Tyranid organisms near it. Despite being willingly unleashed by the Hive Mind, it is a pariah amongst its own kind, going so far as to feed off of the energies of nearby Tyranids as well. It is believed that this is why the creature is most often seen separated from the main attack, often engaging enemy psykic nodes alone, or with only long-ranged support.
Rules: See Codex: Assassins - Culexis.. Calexis? You know what I mean. The biggest problem, really, is that a Zoanthrope is much bigger (and on a bigger base) than the assassin models. Heh. Go figure.
