I am admittedly biased, because the core of my army in my mind has always been Death Skullz, but a guaranteed 3HP back ever turn seems insane in the right vehicles. I am also loving the 6+ invul.
I really like what they are doing here though because it encourages you to mix different clans into a Whaaaa!, I will definitely be building specific detachments with specific clan bonuses in mind.

You would still need to reduce the points to make them anywhere near viable. In my experience without a force field the Gork goes down to fire inside two turns, long before it has reached melee, and the Mork has such such a low rate of fire with such a habit of self harming that it is basically useless as anything other than a very expensive force field/LOS blocker.
I don't have much hope for either model as anything but a curiosity without a major overhaul

Well but the article looks like an improvement to the mork, it has more shots to address your firepower issue and its way less likely to hurt itself, so that's good right? Or do you think it doesn't go far enough? Not an ork player so I have no idea lol

3D3 is an absolute improvement over a D6, even having a minimum of 3 shots goes a long way compared to a real chance for 1 shot that with orky shooting was all but guaranteed to miss. The other issues with Morkanuts is the KFF, which above everything needs to get rid of that "entirely within" garbage rule that no other army has, and the fact that like all melee walkers, getting them up the board without dying turn 1-2 is near impossible. The Tellyporta strategem is going to be used for walkers and maybe boyz, almost exclusively.
But yes the biggest issue with Stompas (And indeed every ork heavy support) is that they are crazy overcosted. Having better guns is all well and good, but the stompa needs it's points reduced by AT LEAST 30% before it's worth taking.

I mean, they still might not get invul saves which is frigging terrible, but at least they could actually go anywhere without relying on or their pathetic 4" movement. If the rumors of buggies being 100-120 points are true, that definitely seems viable now. Assuming you're ignoring a battalion for CP, you could make a 2k outrider detachment consisting of at most 5 units of buggies/bikes, a battlewagon with nobs/meganobz if you don't just deep strike them, and a deffkilla trike boss for a fast, hard hitting elite army.
