In an effort to give Dan some practice for Dragonfall, and to convince myself "I know what I'm doing here, folks", I spun up a fancy "moderately competitive" list. The bench here is that I knew I was facing Imperial Soup (tm), but no Knights. 3 Custodes jetbikers, IG mortar platoon, and primaris Deathwatch (I may be missing something, but that's the general feel). I've already decided on some tweaks to the list, but most of "the bad things" came from me making tactical... "choices".... that were less than optimal. So maybe I should stop going months without playing the game.
In any case, a bit of feedback on the list is always helpful:
Original
Kraken Battalion
Flyrant, Devs, MRCs, Adrenals - Chameleonic Mutation
Broodlord
30 Hormagaunts, Adrenals
20 Genestealers, Talons, 5 Acid Maw
5 Warriors, Deathspitters, Boneswords, Adrenals
5 Shrikes, Deathspitters, Boneswords, Adrenals
Kronos Battalion
Neurothrope (Warlord: Tenacious Survivor)
Malanthrope
6 Hive Guard, Impalers
3 Rippers
3 Rippers
30 Termagants, 17 Devs
3 Biovores
Revamp:
= Cliffs notes =
Dropped the Shrikes as they're index only, aka overpriced. They have the most utility in Kraken with fall back + shoot & charge, but unless they make it into the codex the premium is just a bit much. Considering pulling off the wings until they get proper treatment to have a 2nd brood of Warriors available. Dropped the 2nd Ripper brood, and used points for a 2nd Neurothrope (to have both Catalyst and Onslaught on reliable casters) and now 2 full broods of Terms with 10 devs each.

"Tactics":
Neuro gets Warlord because he can hide, and regen himself. Kronos WL trait if there are psykers, probs default to the 6++ otherwise just for extra tanky.
Hormagaunts exist to bum rush and use their 6" consol/pile-in to safely tie up (and hopefully trap) things. With Opportunistic Advance & Onslaught, they have an expected 19" move, and an extra +1" from Adrenal Glands on the charge.
