Been giving a lot more attention to this project, and I am at a crossroads. I can probably make a fairly cool Glotkin Knight, albeit with fewer modular parts. It will look beastly and disgusting, as it should, but it will also be fairly static in its physical loadout.
Conversely, I can just get a regular Knight, nurgle it up, and make it a bit more WYSIWYG
What do you guys think? Go for maximum artistic fun, or go for functional and not have anyone crying foul when the weapons don't line up perfectly? I am not sure how seriously wysiwyg is for non-ork units

I think Nurgle is probably just barely above Orks on the list of factions for which rule of cool outweighs WYSIWYG. What kind of conversions were you thinking of adding to the glotkin? Or were you just going to make him out of the box as is?

I would start with the Gltokin as the base. I was thinking about getting the...for lack of a better description....shoulders and back(?) of a knight and using it to modify the upper body, but then re-attaching the glotkin spikes to have them coming out. Think of it like a Glotkin wearing football pads.
I go back and forth on the legs. Part of me wants to replace them with knight legs, the other part wants to put the knight plates over the glotkin legs, so I will probably play that by ear depending on what the knight leg plating looks like. I am going to keep the one of the glotkin arms, and I am leaning towards the weird mouth one, which I might be able to plausibly call a ranged weapon.

I think Glottkin would be a really awesome knight, particularly if you can attach barrels of ooze and if you can add a bigass scythe for it to carry. WYSIWYG isn't as big of an issue for big projects. If it's something you've clearly put a ton of time and effort into, nobody will be a dick about it, as opposed to if you have 40 infantry that you are trying to say have different loadouts.

I think someone who plays at the Dojo has done this, though I can't recall exactly what they did.

I floated the idea a while back on this forum, so you might be thinking of me. I just got tied up with other projects. Now it's a race to finish everything I can before Orks are released and I spend the next year building random shit.
