Hey folks, I wanted to put together a tutorial for how to share pictures in your posts, since it's actually not as straightforward as it should be.
Step 1. Create an imgur account.
Free. Annoying, yes, but so far it's been a pretty innocuous sign-up.
Step 2. Upload your pictures on imgur. Once logged in, you can select your account -> Images and just drag and drop from your computer. You can just dump your pictures in--there's a way to organize things into albums, but it's clunky. There's a mobile app that will let you upload pictures directly from your phone in a pinch.
Step 3. Get your direct link. There are many ways to do this, here's just one method. Find and click on your glorious picture and there should be a "BBCode" with a "Copy" button below it. Click it!
Step 4. Add in-line pictures to your post!
Within the body of your post, paste your block of text (Ctrl + V if you are somehow not aware of this shortcut).
PRO TIP: Make sure your copied link has ".jpg" at the end! Should look like this:
[img]https://i.imgur.com/yOvm9vI.jpg[/img] This works in Quick Reply, too! If you're doing a new Thread or a full Reply, you can flip to the 'BBCode' tab then back to 'Preview' to see it live.
Enjoy your picture's public debut on Chicago's best tabletop forums!
Just rinse and repeat for all the images you like! The browser window should scale-down larger pictures to fill horizontally, so for the most part you don't have to worry about re-scaling or anything.
Any tips or shortcuts would be appreciated, I'm certainly no expert on the matter. Hope it helps!

I have a feeling this post was directed at me. I do appreciate it haha. Well, you can't take all the credit! I post pictures so infrequently I sometimes forget how to do it. So it's a reminder as much as a tutorial for newcomers!
I enjoy seeing pictures on the forums, so hopefully we'll see more!
