Seemingly the entire codex, and things are looking REAL good. Cannot wait to get this army out of storage and back on the table - this might be my main 8th edition army moving forward barring what happens with the dark eldar

Yeah dude I think this looks great mostly. Lots of redeploy shenanigans. A couple solid weapon buffs (wraiths, tomb blades).the C'Tan look so cool, especially tesseract vault. I can't believe people on Reddit are complaining. Reanimation protocols are hella good if your opponent cant wipe our full units. I played against crons yesterday with marines and whiffed on taking out 2 units of warriors. They just kept coming back (got them down to 1 and 2 models, respectively, and they ended the game with more than 6 each)

DUDE tell me about it, I'm loving the look of this codex, and super excited to play - and I even have mine painted as one of the worst dynasties, novokh, so the fact I'm excited to play them should say something. I'm probably going to go in and add a teal accent color to my force so I can play them as Sautek though, they seem like a really fun and mobile dynasty.
But yeah dude, my destroyer cult is looking REAL good, going to add another destroyer lord and at least 3 more destroyers for that - a destroyer lord with a warscythe, eternal hatred, and the nanoscarab casket relic is going to be regaining d6 wounds per turn, reviving after death on a 4+, is going to be swinging at S7 Ap-4 D2, rerolling hits, and rerolling wounds. Just...wrecking people.
And heavy gauss cannons (hint - on all destroyer platforms) are +1 S now! S6 Ap-3 D2 is fucking nuts dude. So so so food. And don't even get me started on tomb blades - might be the best jetbikes in the game now, -10 points but they have -1 to hit native, so insane.
I for one welcome our new overlords.

Loving the monolith teleport strategems, sad that scarabs got -1 WS without being made cheaper, but their strategems are handy. Some good point reductions for destroyers and heavy destroyers as well.
Overall pretty happy with a lot of it, wish some things were cheaper, but I can dig it.
My biggest complaint? No Thokt Dynasty! My bluecrons now have to piggyback off Mephrit's Dynastic Code. Lame!

They really are food tho zyggy I hear you man - having only 5 traits seems off since most armies have 6 or so, but hopefully we get the FW one this year too since that's the imperial armor book they're working on right now.

It's also too bad that most of the characters are linked to sautekh. There are a few really cool named characters (looking at you Nemesor)

Yeah super agree, wish we had some named characters for the other dynasties, or they were like Nids and could be from any dynasty/hive fleet. Although the sautek rules have my eye, I can see myself running the army as sautek for the most part - I've got red and silver necrons, but no one knows the color schemes anyway other than for space marine chapters so I'm sure its fine

I actually don't really like the sautekh code. For warriors/gauss infantry, there's rarely a time when they aren't in 24" of something and you need to advance to get in range. Idk about heavy weapons. I know destroyers don't suffer the penalty already. Maybe it's good for vehicles? Fortunately, there's lots of good relics so you can customize regular overlords/etc if you run other dynasties. Also I guess the traveler can run with any dynasty and he's decent.

Most Necron vehicles are relatively unchanged (read: somewhat lackluster) or as mentioned are immune to Heavy, and one of the arguably best ones, the Triarch Stalker, specifically can't get the benefits of any Codes going by the video, so yeah, Sautekh doesn't seem great.
Something of interest regarding the named characters though, if I read it right, is that you can take most named characters in a different Dynasty detachment and not count it against you. They obviously can't use the Code benefit, but that's a pretty nice incentive to use the named characters you like and still get those sweet command points.

What I got from it said that there are a handful of units that can be taken in any detachment and don't alter the dynastic codes (namely triarch stalkers, praetorians, and like 3 of the special characters) but that characters with a <dynasty> keyword would still disrupt the synergy of the rest of the detachment per usual. But if I'm wrong, then that's a lot of fun.
Also as for the advance while firing things, wraiths with guns can make use of it as can tomb blades, unless I'm missing something. And as far as advancing forward with your army turn 1 for board control without forgoing shooting is more what I was thinking with Sautek, not that things wouldn't already be in range, just to prevent deep strikers and grab objectives and also get closer to actually being able to double tap on subsequent turns.

Yeah, so if you took a nihilahk detachment and then added a command detachment of sautekh characters, their buffs wouldn't really do much (because they effect sautekh dynasty infantry)

PS Vargard Obyron + a unit of lychguard with warscythes = something dies every single turn with Ghotswalk Mantle. That's insanely powerful, and according to his sheet its not a once per battle deal either, but every movement phase he and a unit can just pop around 1" away from enemies and have a guaranteed charge.
