I'll be there Saturday around 4:00 with 2000 pts of Nids. That works for me I'll be bringing Traitor Guard. Haven't played against Nids since 5th edition so this should be fun. |

I'll probably be there Sunday instead of Saturday though again can't confirm. Also feel like attackers' strag is way better than 1st. Course could be me. Defenders at least don't need cover for one of their units.

I take it that first stratagem works like cover in that it can raise a saving throw to 2±, but not beyond. Otherwise it would make anyone with a 2++ basically invincible during the first round of combat, and anyone with 2+ invincible for anyone without AP.

1st strag. Gives a +1 to Any if your saves, so an termine with a storm shield with have a 2++ but still have a 2+ (if there is any ap then you deduct per usual, e. G. If plasma from overarching hits and wounds then you resolve the ap as -3 + 1 = -2 so a termine will have a 4+ armor save. Otherwise a safe always fails on a "1". You can't have any save be a 1+ save.
