Couple things seem weird... Fex with S6? I guess if they're set on keeping the claws the standard "Sx2 weapon" (which makes sense)... but that feels dirty. Lictor staying at 3A even though every combat unit seems to be getting more to adjust for the lack of standard charge/CCW bonuses? Didn't look at fexen attacks to see if that was also the case.
Shrug. Seems a touch out of line.

The Lictors attacks stayed the same, but its accuracy is much better. You are hitting on 2's always rather then 3's most of the time. Lictors may well have something like the chainsword +1 attack on their weapon as well. The fex has 4 attacks, but cause mortal wounds on the charge. Nothing leaked with pics to confirm yet; so it may very well be fake.

They also get +1 attack for having 2x pairs of ccws. Rumor is that scytals are 13 for 1 pair, 22 for 2 pairs, and claws are 33 for 1 pair. So a fex with claws and scytals is 113 points, had 5 attacks, does a mortal wound on the charge 50% of the time, and is S12 AP-3 Damage 3 in combat. A unit of 2 will dish out 10 attacks, for 226 points, and more or less wreck any vehicle in the game that we have seen so far with a potential max damage output of 32 wounds.

Tyranid points leaks: imgur.com/a/i1NfDStarting to put together my 2000 point list as we speak. Still no leaks of datasheets to actually see what shit does, but assuming its relatively similar to how it is now - ie, they're not going to make brainleech devourers S2 assault 1. Some of the specifics might change slightly, but in general a flyrant with 4 devourers is going to be a good anti-infantry/anti-light vehicle hunter. Carnifex with crushing claws will open up large vehicles. termagants and hormagants will screen and bog down units, etc.

Special characters are in a separate box underneath the main unit box in the leaked indexes we've seen so far - so it looks like the special character box for Nids got cut off at the bottom of that first page just barely.

Looking at the Sisters leaks, do the weapon rules for Arco-flagellants mean that they get D3 attacks per pre-wedding attack (so 2D3 attacks base, 3D3 attacks if near a priest)? It's a shame they don't at least get AP -1, but this is good news for the Arco-flagellant horde I was planning on making.

Jesse you would be correct - you would roll 2d3 because they have 2 attacks base, and roll d3 instead of 1 attacks. So with the priest, they add 1 to their attacks characteristic specifically, so again would have 3d3 attacks. Very nice!

As we seem to have the Nid rules in various hands, I guess I shouldn't second-guess the rules leaks, it just seemed odd to (arbitrarily?) leave out certain stats on the profiles.
2 points for a bonesword/lashwhip? Let's do this. , EDIT -
per the 'build an army' article from today, either we have the most basic Archon you'd care to run, or Shadowfields are simply built in now. Really can't say, but there are some interesting bits in there (like Kabalites going down to 7 points, and warrior gear getting generally cheaper). Still want to see what happens with poison weaponry!

It looks like they made warriors cheaper to off set the more expensive transports. It makes sense to me given footdar never really worked.
How do y'all feel about haywire?
Wych Cult looks really fun to me. The hekatrix knife and the control aspect. Incubi. Pfp looks interesting.
Grotesques... I think they'll need some feeling out after being completely broken last edition.
Ravagers look really strong. Everything is so fast.

I've been out of 40k for a long time. I was out of GW entirely until the Horus Heresy dragged me back in. I didn't play any 7th Edition outside of 30k and I'm pretty sure my 6th Edition career could be counted on one hand.
I'm super excited for 8th! I've dusted off my Death Guard and Nurgle demons and will be happily spreading disease in the new edition!
