Cool. So. Remember when I was a fool and wrote that crappy army builder for Dropfleet? Yeah, me too. So I wrote a better one. And this time, it's ON THE INTERNETS. Nifty. If anyone would be so inclined, kindly go here >> dockyard.herokuapp.com/Click around, give it a whirl, and let me know how you feel about it. Caveat - it's not a one-page-app yet. So you're going to be redirected to a lot of pages that are really tiny and you'll be asking yourself "Why isn't this just a nice one-page app so I don't have to put up with this??". Well, you're right and you're not. There's a reason it is the way that it is right now, but very soon it will start making its way into one-page world, and will be much better. For now, though, think broad-scope functionality. Also, it's super ugly. I know. Get over it.

But seriously. It'd help me out legit-style if you wouldn't mind 5 minutes of clicking about. I want this to be user-friendly, and it's one thing for me as the designer to say "yeah it all makes sense" and another entirely for people completely unattached to say "this works, this doesn't, etc" .
Cool.

So I realize this has gotten JUST A TON of action - but I'm actually at a point where I could really use some outside help.
Long story short, my mobile styling "is finished" (aka the basic design is there), but I'm having issues when I actually view it on my phone vs what the computer's mock-up of "what my phone should look like" actually looks like...
If anyone could take just 5 minutes to open it up, click around, and tell me if it completely broke or not (along with what type of phone you're using) that'd be super. I'm trying to figure out why my phone is doing weird things and I first need to know if it's a widespread issue, but I don't own 10 different phones to check xD.
Ideal test would consist of...
- logging in a couple of times (does the screen break when it tries to auto-guess your username?) - create a few fleets (do they show in a nice list? They don't need to have ships in them to check this) - actually build 1 or 2 battlegroups (is the display nice? Does anything go wonky/unexpected?)
Gratzy all - I'm trying to get this up to snuff to at least have an 'in progress' project on my resume, so this is a massive help.

Ill bite, give me a few minutes to tool around with it and just see whats up. I have no idea what I'm doing, but i'll just click buttons.
I will say that using the browser version is wonky - when I click on "fleets" after logging in...well there's nothing there. It still just says "something something by hawk wargames"

Yeah it looks like it works - I logged in and out several times, it kept my same battle fleet saved each time, and there were no formatting issues. I was able to add and remove battle groups with ease, using the drop down menus et al. Pretty slick yo

Hey Joel, you could use a free trial of Browserstack to test it on multiple desktop/tablet/mobile devices: www.browserstack.com/

Thanks Peter, I'll check that out - currently just using chrome's dev tools to mock sizes. Better tools are always better!
Nick - thanks for clicking about. I'm hearing from sources (I have sources?) that it seems to be formatted as expected... i guess my phone is just a chump, which is ironically great news. To the point of fleets, yes - it's meant to be blank initially - that's where your list of personal fleets goes.
Thanks for checking it out - if anyone has any other feedback (intuitive? general design?) please feel free to destroy my dreams. PS - some changes have already been made (as of 30 minutes ago ish) due to some other feedback... font color for readability, and I altered the display of one of the pages to help keep it from doing weird things.
Again - THANKS!!!

It worked on mobile (I have a Galaxy S8), but not on my desktop using Chrome.

Ah, on the desktop the button was probably hidden behind something else? Everything is weird on a large screen right now. I have to style for different screen sizes independently (this is why you have teams of people doing this).
Anyway, hopefully that's all it was xD. There could be a larger bug at work but I'd have to see it to be sure.
