Anybody have some good ideas for colors to make them stand out? I don't want to just do the normal brown wood + olive green foliage. Thinking more along the lines of white wood like birch, with some orange/yellow foliage for more of a late fall/winter theme. Thoughts?

Sakura style trees would be a really unique palete.

Ahh interesting, I've seen the cherry blossom thing done a lot recently, but the style does suit me. Dark bark (dryad bark base) with like a gorthor brown "skin" color in between the bark, and then leaves and foliage that go pink to white with a snowy base would be pretty cool looking!

That was kind of my thoughts. Its just an interesting collection of colors, not to mention I think pink is a color that you rarely get to paint.

Sounds like I need to paint up a test model for one of my tree revenants and see what it looks like! Seems like it'll be a good use of the airbrush too, which will be nice and quick.
Question though - with dark bark, white/pink foliage, what would be a good spot color for things like the eyes, the glowing runes in their bark, etc? Just more pink to keep the scheme simple and complimentary? Or something like a cool ice blue to counteract the warmth of the pink?

cool ice blue to counteract the warmth of the pink? I was thinking ice blue right from the start. Compliments the whole scheme well and stands out nicely.

tight tight tight, do you know how many points you have there? Its a little over 1100pts, but I'm not sure if it has the right models for any battalions. If it can be made into a battalion, its like 1200-1300pts.

oh god plus one for the Cherry Blossoms. Yes.
The other idea with the white birch bark and more fall colored leaves is also good.
Also keep in mind the color Amber, like orangey gold is usually associated with Trees but the GW armies might already incorporate that. Actually if you have the Cherry Blossom scheme but used a bright, like very shiny amber for the eyes and details, that might stand out well.

If it can be made into a battalion, its like 1200-1300pts. It does not have the models for any battalions, because I made 2 units of tree revanents instead of 1 spite and 1 tree. But I plan on adding 3 more hunters, a branchwraith and some dryads which I believe will make it roughly 1600 points. The feedback I've been seeing online is that 6-9 hunters + treelord ancient + special character of some type + dryads + tree revenants as battle line units is a decent elite, small model force for 1500-2000 point games. My key for AoS is not having a ton of models (my list should only have 30 or so), and being able to paint them quickly, so that's what I'm aiming for. Also going more for "this unit looks super cool" than "this unit is good", hence my next 3 hunters will have scythes, becuase have you seen them they're amazing looking
