Quite the price hike in points on Celestine, but damn did they give her a ton of buffs. Notably, five wounds and eternal warrior, not to mention the resurrect-able ablative wounds. We are missing the rules for Saintly Blessings still, but on Warhammer TV they mentioned that it lets her grant a USR to a different FOC type per turn. Allegedly she gives Lords of War It Will Not Die. Cawl and Greyfax are also pretty great. I think you'll see Greyfax bolted onto some of the crazy Deathstars in the game to deny overwatch.

Damn. This makes me want Cawl even more. Again, if anyone wants to split this box, I'm interested!

What was her points cost before? Because 4 ablative wounds at 3+ 4++ that resurrect constantly is probably worth the points increase alone lol
And Cawls rules? Holy hell, I'm glad I'm getting him from Mike so I can start a small mechanicum force. The dude is easily worth every single punkt.

If I don't find someone to split it the box, I'll likely just pony up for it. After all, it's only $80. I'm sure I could find something to do with Celestine and the Inquisitor. I also pre-ordered the Campaign book. I'm really interested to see the formations they'll put in for AdMech!

Also they're big - the smallest one, the Conclave Acquisitorious is roughly 1800 points minimum, and you'll definitely be wanting to add bodies and wargear, so closer to 2000 I'd bet.

By no means do I think that she is now over costed though, for 200pts your getting a practically unkillable HQ. Come on plastic sisters, give me a reason to start another army....

I saw them teased on Warhammer Community page, but I didn't go any further than that. Haven't looked into any leaks, anyway. Good to know.

Oh she is way undercosted, as is Cawl. She is following the trend of the Patriarch - essentially, when it comes down to dice rolling, she has 14 wounds and regenerates 2 a turn. Cawl, while he doesn't have the bodyguards regen, recovers D3 Wounds a turn and re-rolls FNP. They are following a pattern of three things 1) mixing and matching will the norm for 8th edition instead of allies 2) HQ's are monstrous, armies will revolve around them (which is pretty much what deathstars are) and 3) to counter, troops are 'limitless' or regen as well. I'm pretty bummed about the Death Star thing - I mean, truly, Celestine and Cawl are perfect Death Star additions at their most optimized.

40k has always been a swinging pendulum between Deathstar/Herohammer and MSU across the various editions. Currently it seems that we've moved into full Herohammer, I imagine in no small part due to the fact that GW can sell big centerpiece models that way.

Yes. Really I'm not (I can't) complaining about points and cost. I know also that by the time Part 2 of Fall of Cadia rolls around, Eldar / DE are getting some major attention along the same line. So I might as well just hold my tongue
