Wooo, some Sisters in the background of a picture! Can't wait to see what comes.
[Sentence two was not meant to be sarcastic]

This seems like an awesome new variation of superfriends. Plus, they might actually be consolidating codexes!

yeah that would be cool if they did that imagine multiple ordos of the inquisition working together in one match and being able to share rules with each other!!!

Hmmm.... cult mechanicus is listed as one of the armies listed here. I would have thought they just would have combined those two books in 8th into a Mechanicus book.

I don't think this is One codex for all those factions, rather, it represents the inquisitor and all of their various "agents". You'll likely see a stand alone mechanicus book with its own relics, formation, detachments, as well as a stand alone sororitas book.
I imagine this book was made in part to solve the inquisitor's in transports problem. At the moment, you couldn't put an Inquisitor in ANY other factions transports at the start of a game, which made little sense as they are typically working alongside other imperial elements. Now you could let your Deathwatch, Sisters, or Grey Knights ride with the inquisitor and vice versa.

What Will said. This isn't a stand alone codex, doesn't replace anything that already exists, and isn't a sign of revamped/drastically changed rules/models.
Its a consolidation codex for inquisition and assassins, with SOME options for grey knights, deathwatch, and sisters of battle units to accompany them based on specialization. Same thing with mechanicum units - this isn't their whole codex, but a few units that inquisitors can reliably take when they go to war, maybe a unit of skitarii to accompany their acolytes, or breachers to help take an armored position, etc.
Since inquisition can basically bogart any/all imperial resources to do their work, this codex lets them do that without all the interesting wording differences between various codexes. That's my take on it at least.

I'm pretty psyched about the ability to run a mixed inquisition force, however, it is a tad disappointing that Tempestus/Stormtroopers aren't in the Imperial Agents book though. Gives me an excuse to pick up a few boxes of deathwatch and mechanicus without needing to make a whole new army.

Yeah it's definitely a cool idea and I'll use it as an excuse to buy one of those monkey mechanic dudes and put him with deathwatch or something goofy.

GW is going to make me spend a lot of money on nostalgic models, aren't they?

Hey, that was the Nagash model when I first started playing Warhammer. If I had any emotional connection to the Undead, I would definitely buy him (and use him in games as the unstoppable killing machine that he is in AoS. I would also start playing AoS just for a chance to do that).
