H'okay, so...
The Dojo up north actually hired a 40k guy (well, GW in particular). I actually know the guy, and he's good people, which is a good start. Secondly, PRIZE SUPPORT.
I probably should have put that first, because you all are money-hungry whores, but, whatevs.
It's kicking off with an escalation league, if anyone is interested. It starts yesterday. HA! Suckers. But there is a secondary day tomorrow, at 6 pm. My understanding is that it will run weekly, Thurs/Sat nights, at 6 pm for either. Game one is 600 points, no flyers. Not sure how long it runs, or to what size, but hey, do it. Go.
This one's a freebie, and I don't think has prizes, but.
Monthly tournaments are in the works. One for 40k, one for Fantasy. The idea, at this point, is something like a $10 buy in, and then the store will kick in an extra 70% in PHAT CASH PRIZES. So we get 10 players, there's a total of $170 in support. HOLY CRAP IT"S LIKE THIS STORE WANTS PEOPLE TO COME IN AND PLAY THEIR EVENTS.
Did I mention it's a BYOB establishment? So we can still get drunk and pantomime (hope you saw the air quotes) reach-arounds under the gaming tables.
I personally would love to see this take off, in addition to whatever we, as a group, contrive. It'd be cool for those with a more competitive spirit (read, A-holes with penis envy), a chance to grow our own community, and a chance to show them all that our community is boss (we should totally get T-shirts).

Those days won't work for me in particular, but I'll certainly come out for a tournament. Can we get these notices posted here at all? Or you got a link?

Yeah I'm 100% down for tourneys, with the store having closed that's more likely than not going to be the best way for me to get out of the house to play - any way that we can get notice of the tournaments in advance would be amazing.

Also I absolutely want tee-shirts with the Bro-hammer logo on them. All in favor? I've got a connection at Custom Ink and could get some made up.

How much would they cost? If it's in the 20-30 range I'd be down.
I'll see what I can do to get a proper tournament schedule posted once they start happening. My guess is they'll be a pretty regular event & whatnot.
Penis.

I can't imagine they'd be $20.
I for one say we get headbands because everyone has tshirts and they look great with my hair.

My first thought is... everyone, as long as that's all they're wearing.

I'd be all for a t-shirt. That way I'd wear it work, where I assume I'd be jumped by all the women who work here once they see it.
That's how it works right?

I vote for head bands, and white tennis shorts.

Only if I can wear it as a codpiece.
Either way, some form of shirt/clothing could be a great idea once we get our act together and become a "proper club". That way all the inquiring minds will know what to inquire about, and to whom, and all the dripping ladies will know who to throw themselves at.
Seriously. Codpiece. Think about it.
