Anyone know anything about this? www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Space-Marine-Strikeforce-UltimaCame out today. I'm obviously interested as an Ultramarine player. Also I already have all these models so I'm mostly curious what the formation benefits are. Anyway if anyone has seen the dataslate for the formation I'd be very interested!

No details yet, but it's so oddly similar to the Strike Force Ultra formation makeup (landraider, flyer, captain, plus a bunch of infantry - only difference is tacticals/sternguard + their transports instead of more terminators) that I feel like it will have similar rules. Ie, everything in reserves and comes in at the same time, gets extra shooting attacks the turn they arrive, etc.

Yah it is similar, even in name.
Anyway thats what I'm thinking too. Roll for reserves from turn 1 and extra shooting or something. Anyway I want to see the datasheet on the formation because I like options!

Seems you need to use regular old landraider instead or crusader. Still I say it's a good formation.

Still its a formation that allows everything in it to come on turn one. It doesn't seem to impose on the drop pod assault, so if you bring a glad. and a cad with a drop pod or two. You will have alpha, but I guess the problem becomes the point cost. Still a flyer on turn 1 won't be too bad.
