The Deathwatch are a subdivision of the space marines tasked with hunting and researching Xenos Threats. They are basically the equivalent of Grey Knights, but for Xenos. Because they serve the Inquisition they are able to regularly use non-codex compliant wargear and will sometimes use Xenos Technology (I.E. Necron Gauss Weaponry, Tau Plasma Tech, Ect.).
They are comprised of a few members from every Space Marine chapter. Each Marine chapter is required to give a few of their battle brothers to serve in the Deathwatch; so its a great chance to model marines from any chapter.
I'm looking forward to the release, hopefully it will have some interesting and flavorful options for dealing with Xenos scum.

The hints haven't been so subtle.
Runes say you won't be the only ones getting new toys this time around.

I imagine they are going to release the plastic eldrad/foot seer we saw floating around the internet.

Rumors say we might get a re-done guardian kit as well, which is long overdue - options for storm guardians or regular in the set, with a much smarter/more efficient sprue lay out, would be a welcome change!

imgur.com/gallery/Y3lkNSomebody on reddit leaked the box set description. Looks like deathwatch vs. harlequins with Eldrad.

Hmm.. I might have to find someone to split a box with. I've had this strange desire to build a harlequins army (and yes I know it's probably terrible to run alone), and if the BoLS rumors are right, it should be a good deal.

Yeah, looks like it's all Harlequins, not CWE. I'm sure everyone is just as devastated as me to learn of this truth.
But tbh fam, Harlequins are as much in dire need of attention as any other of the lower tier codices, in fact they are probably weaker than any other faction in the game right now. I'd say worse than Orks, CSM, and Dark Eldar. GW will need to do a lot to generate interest in them as a stand-alone faction. Without using allies they are very underpowered...
For right now... I've heard rumors of Harlequin Wraith-constructs which would of course change them up quite a bit. I'd imagine totally stunning models

Prepare your anus I didn't say it was a good idea...just seems intriguing.
