So far in my morning fantasy 1k with empire. The list: Arch lector. Wizard lvl 2. BSB. 47 halberds, 5 archers, 10 great swords, Helblaster.
Round 1: Empire vs dwarves. Dwarf list. Rune priest. Thane BSB. 20 great weapon warriors. 12 slayers. Tricked out cannon and a rune organ gun. Long slug match in the middle of the board. Dwarf cannons snipe Helblaster and organ gun blows away my great swords. Empire breaks the two enemy combat blocks and hold taking casualties in the center until game ends. Empire victory.
Round 2: Empire vs Lizardmen. Tetto'eko, 20 saraus, 6 krox and an ancient steg. Turn one vanguarded all 3, lizards stole initiative. Destroyed Helblaster turn one. I failed all my magic turn 1. Turn 2 charged by steg. Halberds fail ld reroll and roll high enough to flee off the board. Victory lizardmen.

Yikes, that turn 2 loss to lizzies is tough! Also sucks that you went up against a VERY similar list to the one you would have brought with you lol Keep it up dude! I know Jeff won his first match in the 40k championships too, repping the club well!

Game 1: Objectives + Kill points Black Templars Firestorm Redoubt. 2 Landraiders w/ blob squads. Grav Centurions. Blew up the Roudoubt after it fired once through Night Fight with suicide Zoanthrope run. Coulda called the game there. Ran out of time eventually, but I beat the snot out of him. He had three models left at the end of turn 5. Great opponent, a lot of fun. Crushing Victory Tyranids. Game 2: Relic + Terrain Control Eldar/Deldar Beaststar. Beaststar + many MCs were all locked in combat for most of the game. Lots died there. 2 Warp Spider squads did a lot of work, Wraithknight stayed off the board until it mishapped and sat in the corner. He won with turboboost on the Turn 5 when we called for time after I killed the Beaststar in its entirety. Good game all around, really nice opponent, felt like I was in it until the end. Still a Crushing Victory to the Dark Eldar. Game 3: Scouring + Objectives Taudar. 3 Riptides. Fuck this game and my FOURTEEN YEAR OLD OPPONENT. He was visibly shaking he was so nervous. Nice enough kid, but he played a dick list, and didn't return the "Oh that's fine man, roll your powers now" favor I did him when I just wanted to move my fucking Exocrine. It's not like the move cost me the game or anything either, it was good and lost by then. But still, fuck Tau and 3 Riptides and 3 Skyrays and his parents that helped him put his models away. Obviously Crushing Victory to the Taudar. Game 4: Big Guns + Objectives Ultramarines (FULL LIST CAUSE I LIKE HIM MOST). 2 Land Raiders. 3 Predators. 2 Units of Assault Centurions. 2 5 man Tac w/ LasPlas Razorbacks. 2 5 man Snipers w/ Storms. AWC dude who lives in Oak Park with a nice, fun, not that competitive list, just a blast to play with. Anyone there tomorrow, check out the team tournament, he's running the AVATAR 2 team, you'll know it when you see it. Looks insane. His name is Jeff. Again, 3 models left for the Space Marine player by the end of Turn 4, one being a Landraider. Nids can kill tanks good. Also, Assault Centurions hit fucking hard. Crushing Victory for the Nids. What I Learned For Nids: Need more Crones, but keep a Harpy. Venomthropes didn't do much. Still love Zoanthropes. Tyrannofex ate a ton of fire and was super scary. Devilgaunts and Haywire flamers did serious work, probably won me the games. CC Flyrant didn't do anything in CC, but I feel like it's still a necessary element to the list. I think dropping the Scy Tals and adding one set of TL Devs with the Haywire flamer might be a nice, albeit expensive, build. I miss Spore Pods. Exocrine and Biovores were so-so. Altogether, it was awesome, but I think Tournaments really need to put comp into place that enable better players to win, not just point and click Taudar. I mean, even the 2++ Deathstars require a little finesse, there's just no real thinking necessary when a Farseer and Buffmander DP a Riptide all game. Obviously, I'll have to see what changes they make for next year (or what changes 7th puts forward), but I'm leaning towards signing up for the more casual events in the future. Also, Josh and I got to ogle this dude's Sisters/IG motherfucking church for awhile tonight... some of the most insane freehand I've ever seen. He won the painting award and my heart.

Man, that sucks about the kid - that's what's so rough about the internet age; anytime a list wins a tournament, a bunch of very lucky kids whose parents have money to spare will end up taking it to his first scary tournament and winning at least a handful of games just thanks to the build. Rough day bud!
Looks like you played a few fun opponents though, despite the 2-2 record. Wish I would have signed up as well - my DE want a taste of the field again!!
EDIT: I don't think your Eldar/Deldar opponent could have won with turboboost...can't take the relic in any phase bu the movement (turbo boost is shooting), and if you turboboost with the relic you drop it immediately. Or did he turbo boost to grab linebreaker?

It was terrain grab. I contested the piece he was in, he turbo boosted into an uncontested one on his turn. Just didn't have enough units to cover what needed to be covered and kill his scoring units. No one had the Relic at the end.

I was lazy. Here are the rest of the games.
Round 3 from am. Empire versus dwarves (again) Dwarf army: block of hammerers, great weapon longbeard block, organ gun and gryocopter. Turn one empire advances, magic downs the gryocopter. Dwarves fire away with the organ gun peeling off almost 20 halberds over the two rounds. Line survivor empire archer charges organ gun crew and ties them up in combat as the halberds rush the longbeards. Long beards are broken, lose combat by 9, flee and are caught. Archer dies on dwarf turn. Empire rushes the organ gun then is charges by the hammerers who are killed to the man in one round of combat. Empire victory.
AM results: 2:1.
PM tournament. Lizard Army. Old blood with armor of fortune, piranha blade and a shield, tetto'eko, and a naked skink bsb. 17 saurus with command, 10 skirmishing skinks, bastilladon with solar beam and a salamander.
Round 1. Lizards vs Dwarves. Dwarf army: organ gun, cannon, gryocopter, quarrelers and a rune priest and some slayers. Tetto'ekko vanguards the salamander. Turn 1 salamander flames the largest unit of cross bows. The whole army advances. Comet goes off. Dwarf gyro flanks lizards, drops bomb on salamander killing it. Comet lands and the cannon is removed. Firing is miserably poor and only 4 saurus die. Turn 2 saurus block charges the slayers and wipes them out. Bastilladons ray removes the gryocopter from the game. Dwarf organ gun kills 8 skinks. Cross bows kill 3 more big lizards. Turn 3 lizards charge and everyone gets stuck in the fight. Oldblood wins the challenge and the dwarves retreat. Victory: lizards.
Round 2: Lizardmen vs. Orcs and goblins. Orc list: block of 28 biguns with a black Orc warboss. A bus of goblins with 5 goblin Heros, 2 Orc chariots. And a rock lobba. Magic and skink shooting take down the two chariots, orcs charge the lizards. Bastilladon gets charged by goblins. Orcs break and flee but escape. Goblins win and break the bastilladon and catch it as it tries to flee. Orcs rally and lizards charge back in. Skinks dance around the goblins distracting them. Lizards finish orcs off and over run into the rock lobba. Victory: Lizardmen.
Round 3 Lizards vs Orcs. Orc list is 30 savage Orc biguns, a big boss or some sort. Lvl2 night goblin shaman, 2 wolf chariots. 2 doom divers and a mangler. Scenario is a modified watch tower. I place 10 skinks in the tower. Turn 1, orcs fail charge on the tower. Shoot takes out the salamander and puts 3 wounds on the bastilladon. Bastilladon takes out the mangler with its beam. Lizards advance. Turn 2. Wolf chariot hits the Bastiladon and kills it. Orcs charge tower do 12 wounds. (Scenario gives 5+ regen to everyone in the tower and with in 6 inches) my roll saves 7. Skinks hold. On my turn I pull the skinks out and the saurus walk in with all the characters. Skinks get wiped out by a wolf chariot, orcs assault the building every turn. By the end of the game, 8 Saraus and all characters remain alive. 20 orcs remain but fail to dislodge the lizards. Victory lizardmen.
PM results 3:0

Kyle, it is Dwarfs. Dwarves are from LotR or material deriving therefrom. All other fantasy settings use the correct Dwarfs.

Fekkin' Taudar. Good show man! Glad to see Nids represent and put some pressure on. I'm still looking to get my test on some different armies. One day my Crone may even be finished. Check that out. And I just realized that my computer clock isn't moving so I may be late to work now. Womp.
