Is there an award for last place so Andy can carry on his legacy?

Nick, I'm not sure how I'm getting there - but I might be rolling with a few Logan Square dudes. If not, I'm going to take the Metra. The tracks run right past Games Plus.

Ooooooh if the Metra runs by there that would give me a relatively easy way to get there and back on my own... I'd have to brush up my DE for this, but I'll keep an eye on these things.

I think I might bring Nids to this so I have an excuse if I lose every game...especially bc at 2000 we get double force org, so I can bring 4 flyrants.

Eh, they allow all the formations you want, so I highly suggest the Skyblight. Mass FMC's are Nids (current) answer to enemy Lords of War and D weapons both - plus you get a Flyrant and Crone outside the FOC. Plus the Gargoyles from that formation are highly sickening.
Do you have the models necessary to play the formation? I wrote up a list for it that clocked in right at 1850 (although you want E-Grubs, so those would be extra... yay extra 150 points!). It wasn't even as nasty as it could be, featuring only 2 of each flyer, and then Tervigon/Gants as troops plus some other ground units for board presence. You could actually take the extra 150 to throw in a Prime, stick him in the big brood of Gaunts, and have a hide-able Warlord for point-denial purposes.
And all the S8 Vector-rape and Testiclids you can shake a wet, flaccid, stick-like appendage at.
If you want to talk a bit more about how hard you need to be using this formation, list building/tactics, and any models you may need to borrow, hit me up.

I need to pick up some gargoyles for the formation, but I've also got an 1850 list that includes the skyblight...super legit. Although the extra 150 will let me increase the gargoyle broods to 30 each (instead of 3 at 25) and add in some upgrades like e-grubs, maybe hive commander to outflank a tervigon.
I'm also putting together a more competitive DE/Eldar list...I don't think we'll see too many D weapons and Lords of War at this thing, since by and large they're over costed and easy to ignore/take down...although a revenant wouldn't be out of the question. The most I think we'll see is aegis lines, void shield relay, and maybe a forward-deployed skyshield for 4++ cover.

I suspect that more people would want to get the last bit of mileage out of their three squadrons of three Vendettas before the new Codex comes out and says no more of that business.

This tournament was today/yesterday. They had switched up the format a few weeks ago to 1850 with Reece Robins/Frontline Gaming restrictions/nerfing.
I lost all 3 games, as per usual, and faced a daemon army on the first round that I fired into for 4 turns before I hurt anything. It was disgusting. It was like I was the Japanese army vs Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and Mechagodzilla. It was a futile effort.
At least I finished out the day with a great game against my friend and frequent opponent Brian Parisi for a lighter end to the day.
Some of you really should try to make it out to future AWC tournaments. Plus its an excuse to go out to the suburbs for primer. Haha.
The next one is May 17th so mark the date if you're inclined.
