Is dope AF. Tons of fun, more balanced than 8th, and really strives to make everything usable.
Magic can be good but isn't devastating anymore. It seems the focus is less on doing tons of damage to the enemy and more in force multipliers and buffs/hexes.
Combat is still king, monsters aren't a liability anymore. Cannons are not snipers anymore.
We need to play more! Who else still has their fantasy armies?

For those interested, the rules are here. They take a lot of feedback from the community so they can write the most balanced ruleset possible.

This is good to hear. Especially about monsters. Dark Elf Beastmasters are a wet dream of mine. Yeah with the changes to magic and cannons, and the use of a combined profile instead of awkward "you killed my mount but I'm still alive" rules, means monsters and ridden monsters are actually survivable. Other than that and some slight changes to combat res and how command works, it has all the best parts of 8th intact.

I would love to play. I'm currently building my Orcs+Goblins Army that can double for both 40k and 9th Age via the power of magnets.
