Alright so in the spirit of the LictorShame lists and the increased use of armies in competitive play that utilize units that are under appreciated or "less than optimal" through combos or pure generalship, I've decided to take a crack at a wych cult list with some allied eldar to create a fluffy list that still packs a punch competitively. Heeeere we go:
Dark Eldar - Realspace Raider Detachment (Primary)
HQ
Succubus - archite glaive, agonizer, armor of misery, haywire grenades (warlord)
Succubus - archite glaive, agonizer, haywire grenades
Troops
5 Wyches - hekatrix w/haywire, venom, 2x splinter cannons
5 Wyches - hekatrix w/haywire, venom, 2x splinter cannons
Fast Attack
Raider - aethersails, nightshields
Raider - aethersails, nightshields
Venom - 2x splinter cannons
Venom - 2x splinter cannons
Eldar - Combined Arms Detachment
HQ
Farseer - jetbike, singing spear
Farseer - jetbike, singing spear
Elite
5 firedragons - exarch
5 firedragons - exarch
Troops
3 Jetbikes - 1 scatterlaser
3 Jetbikes - 1 scatterlaser
Aspect Shrine Formation (+1 WS)
9 Banshees - exarch, executioner
9 Banshees - exarch, executioner
5 Scorpions - exarch, scorpion's claw
Total is 1842 - succubi go in raiders with banshees, providing a solid CC smackdown now that banshee masks prevent over watch (the main downfall to CC in 6th/7th ed). Exectuioners and archite glaives mean plenty of AP2 cc nastiness as well. Scorpions are here bc I had to take a 3rd aspect in the formation, and because they're decent now in the new book - can provide some forward objective grabbing power, as well as just be a pain in my opponents side, harrying smaller backfield units.
Firedragons go in the venoms, zoom upfield and take on anti armor duties. 2 units of wyches provide chaff hunting, objective grabbing, and the odd haywire grenade should I need it. Honestly, not too much is expected of the wyches lol but with the right combat drug they can be useful. Venoms though, are always good, so whatevs.
Farseers go in the jetbike units, only 1 scatterbike per so I don't get called abusive, and because I didn't have the point available to add more without reducing the effectiveness of the banshees, scorpions, etc.
My main concerns are anti-air, and things like Knights. But, most people worry about knights, so whatever. Could drop some exarchs in favor for webway portals on the two succubi, but my thought on that is that even if I come in on turn 2, that's a turn 3 charge at the earliest - with aethersails, I should be able to get off a turn 2 charge on the unit of my choice.
