Damn. That looks awesome. I think one dude is carrying a 5-barrelled rifle? Yeah, looks like a hand-held organ gun.

That terrain is glorious indeed. It's just always problematic cause you need like 6 of those sets to set up a solid 40k board

But you only need one to make the coolest looking display board. GW always finds ways to take my money....

I love the little details GW add in, like how they've subtley changed the way that their flying models are mounted with the thinner, swooping clear plastic rod rather than the big fuck-off flying stand we're used to. And if you look at the jet pack troops in the article Will linked, they even curve back or forward slightly, to make the models more dynamic. The time of straight flying rods is no more!

LOOK AT THIS THING I love the bombs/torpedoes on the side. And the anchor. I also think this is one of their most successful designs in terms of creating something unique and trying to own it. Meaning, you KNOW there are sketches or even molds with this thing that has some sort of sails and they were like "nah, it's gotta be ours" and so made some kind of custom steam metal balls. It only took a few times of looking at it too for me to go "what is this, it's weird" to "yeah this is awesome". Will and I talked about it but it's one of the most surest strategies in fantasy to give things elemental typings and thus create something new. Fire Dwarves, Ice Ogres, Ghost Trees. Now Steam Dwarves. I really can't wait for whatever Sun/Light Elf or Shadow Elf recipe they come up with, I just hope i'm on board with the models.

If you ask me Madison, every single original AoS design has been a complete slam dunk - even if you think the stormcasts look like space marines, the later models pushing it further from that end of the spectrum (the griff chargers for example) are absolutely phenomenal. I can only imagine what they're going to come up with for dark elves/high elves, and holy shit am I nervous - I will not be able to resist, so I need to start slowly siphoning a few bucks here and there into my paypal account now in preparation so the wife won't see the spending overall lol
